Travel Specialist Kathy Rudolph Petrino Says Glacier National Park is a Must-See

July 21, 2021

To say that Kathy Rudolph Petrino is an enthusiastic traveler is a severe understatement. She has a strong desire to see as much of the world as possible. One difference between her and other enthusiastic travelers, however, is that she, thankfully, loves to write about everything she sees as a way to help others enjoy travel as much as she does, without the downside. Kathy Rudolph Petrino believes strongly that shared knowledge keeps travel destinations afloat and appealing to visit repeatedly, which is why she writes so prolifically about her favorite destinations, including Glacier National Park.

Glacier National Park is located on the border of Canada and the United States, and it was named for the remnants of glaciers that dot the Park. These glaciers date back to the ice age, which is why Glacier National Park is sometimes called the "Crown of the Continent.” The park sits at the headwaters of many of the streams that flow into the Hudson Bay, the Pacific Ocean, and the Gulf of Mexico. Glacier National Park is a particular favorite of hikers, in part because it features many types of trails that were built for all skill levels. One of the easiest is the Trail of the Cedars, while Grinnel Glacier is far more challenging. It’s not just about hiking, of course; Glacier National Park’s more than ne million acres features more than 700 lakes, a large number of waterfalls and two mountain ranges, and a wide variety of wildlife.
